BITTADON - in such a tiny church, the size of this memorial is overwhelming;
there is a Green Man and a skull at its base - which must have been terrifying
for generations of children spending Sunday sat beside them..

North Cleave Hill Bittadon Hill Slope Enclosure North Cleave Hill is an example of a Hill Slope Enclosure which is fairly common in the South West of England. They are essentially a defended homestead with extra enclosures for stock. North Hill Cleave is small, being less than 40m in diameter. Bittadon is a pretty little village and at the moment I have not been able to find out a lot about it. BITTADON
