Appledore is a small fishing village with a long history of sea-farers and shipbuilding. The village, stretched along the river, is small with attractive walks along the quay and towards Bideford or Westward Ho! using the footpaths.The quay is actively used by boat owners. It's situation, close to a bar in the river means the Lifeboat is one of the busiest in the country Car Parking is available in Pay Car Parks, although these get busy in Summer.
